The Rungstedlund Prize is awarded annually to the late author Karen Blixen's birthday on April 17th.
The prize is awarded to a person who has helped spread the knowledge of Karen Blixen or has performed well in a field that had Karen Blixen's interest. The Rungstedlund Prize was first awarded in 1991. The Queen is the protector of the Rungstedlund Foundation
